DownKyi identity and the official closure notice

The original project is leiurayer/downkyi, historically named 哔哩下载姬. Its old documentation described a Windows video downloading and media processing tool that used Aria and FFmpeg. Those descriptions identify the software in the ranking; they do not establish that the old application still works with today's service.

The repository's current default branch is Deprecated. Its README says that maintenance will cease and the repository will be permanently closed. The maintainer states that a legal warning was received on 6 July 2026. This page reports that statement without presenting the allegations as a judicial finding. A fork, repackaged archive, or similarly named project requires its own publisher and release checks.

Windows installation checks for a historical archive

There is currently no supported installation path this page can recommend, and installing from a third-party mirror is not recommended. These steps help readers review an existing installation. This review did not establish a minimum Windows version, modern system compatibility, or current login and parsing support. For ordinary viewing, check the content platform's official client and any supported offline features.

Is DownKyi still maintained? The original repository announces the end of maintenance and permanent closure. Historical releases remaining visible do not mean that development has resumed.

What if DownKyi will not open or parse a video? Identify the exact project and historical version, retain error details, and back up settings.
